Apple Mac Mini MD387LL/A Desktop (NEWEST VERSION)

This is my second Mac - I bought a MacBook Air with 8 GB of RAM earlier this year. I really love that laptop. The Mini is perfect for the uses to which I put it as a desktop: It is a home theater pc through HDMI to my 51" Samsung plasma, as well as the main desktop through Thunderbolt-->DVI to my 24" Dell Ultrasharp. The heavy-ish lifting it will have to do is some pretty hardcore picture editing, as well as FLAC-->AAC conversions. I threw in 16 GB of Corsair Vengeance 1600 a few days after the Mini arrived. It flies through the heavy lifting tasks described above. I agree with another reviewer about replacing the HDD with an SSD - this would remove the only remaining bottleneck. It is a task that isn't for the fainthearted, but I will be doing so in the coming weeks or months - already have purchased the tools, just waiting for an amazing deal on an SSD.
