I had to replace my fading XP computer, and after checking prices and specs, this one looked like the best value for the buck. It is equipped with Windows 7, but comes with a Windows 8.1 installation disk (saved that for later). The integrated Intel vid chip, gives superior performance compared to lower end Nvidia cards, but you could improve it with the addition of a high end vid card. I transferred the entire stock hard drive onto an SSD and installed an additional standard HD for data backup. It boots fantastically fast from the SSD and I'm pleased with the purchase.
